Hiccup is a much-loved retiring stud boy who is ready to trade breeding life for a family of his own.
He is an affectionate, gentle soul with a wonderfully goofy personality that will keep you smiling. Once Hiccup trusts you, he forms a deep bond and loves nothing more than being close to his people. Physical affection is one of his favourite things, and he happily leans in for pats, cuddles, and scratches.
Hiccup has a lovely medium energy level, making him an easy companion to live with. He enjoys daily walks, playtime, and spending time with his family, but he’s equally happy to relax at home once his needs have been met. He especially enjoys rough-and-tumble play with dogs he knows and trusts.
He is a good listener, enjoys routine, and appreciates consistency in his day-to-day life. Like many thoughtful Border Collies, Hiccup doesn’t instantly make friends with everyone he meets. He prefers to take his time getting to know new people, and trust is something that is earned rather than given freely. Once you’ve earned it, however, you’ll have an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.
Hiccup would thrive in a home that understands the Border Collie breed and is willing to give him the time and patience to settle in at his own pace. In return, you’ll be rewarded with a loving, gentle dog who will become a faithful member of the family.
